Welcome to Offform

Offform is a space to think, design, and build beyond templates and predictable paths. A blog about design, technology, and product—born from the need to write to understand. Blogs once guided me through my transition to digital, and now, I want to give something back.

Form follows flow.

There’s something refreshing about starting a blog in 2025.
Not a Substack. Not a Medium post. Not a LinkedIn carousel.

Just a space of our own.

I’ve been meaning to do this for a while. Not because I think the world needs another blog, but because I need a place to write. To think in public. To collect ideas that don’t fit in a Slack thread, a Figma file, or a Notion doc.

Offform is born from that need.

A space to explore what happens when we let go of templates, best practices, and predictable paths. A space to think, design, build, and share — on our own terms.

Why now?

At Chubby Apps, we’ve spent the last few years building technology with soul. Fast, sharp, and intentional. We design and develop digital products that work — and that feel right. Not just in how they look, but in how they flow.

But somewhere between daily standups, product roadmaps, and user interviews, I’ve realized I miss writing. Not just writing to ship — but writing to understand.
That’s what Offform is for.

What’s this blog about?

Design, obviously. But also entrepreneurship, technology, creative processes, product intuition, and the occasional rant about things we should be doing better.
This is where I’ll document what we learn, question what we take for granted, and reflect on what it means to design with intention in a world obsessed with output.

Some categories you might find here soon:

  • Fieldnotes → Thoughts on design, product, and creative direction.
  • Fabric → Behind the scenes of how we build things at Chubby.
  • Frameworks → Explorations of systems, workflows, and tools that break the mold.
  • Latency → Essays on friction, failure, and lessons learned the hard way.
  • Shelf → A curated selection of readings, blogs, papers, and other resources that spark ideas.

Why a blog?

Because blogs are quiet.
They don’t scream for attention. They wait.
You can read them on your terms, revisit them, link back to them. You don’t need an algorithm to remind you they exist.

“Blogs were a big part of how I got to where I am today.”
In 2020, when the world stopped and I started rethinking everything — including shifting from interior design to the digital world — it was blogs that accompanied me. They informed me, inspired me, and showed me a path forward.

This is my way of giving something back. Of keeping that energy alive. And hopefully, of helping others who are standing where I once stood.

Offform?

It’s more than a name. It’s a principle.
Offform = Form follows flow.
Not trends. Not templates. Not tradition.
Flow of thought, flow of experience, flow of use.

Thanks for being here. Let’s see where this goes.

I don’t know how often I’ll write. So if you don’t want to miss anything, the best way is to subscribe and get each post delivered straight to your inbox.

In the meantime, you can also find me on Twitter (X)Bluesky, and LinkedIn — that’s where I share thoughts, links, and work-in-progress ideas more frequently.
